PEFY Impact Teams will in cooperation with the No Limit -ministry (Germany) organise an evangelistic campaign in December 2009. Bring your country along!
VISION
Impact the main cities of Europe during the Christmas season with 1000 young people dressed up as Santa Claus announcing the simple message of Christmas.
WHY ?
The time before Christmas is a great period to announce the Gospel. Christmas was not established by Coca Cola, as some young Europeans claim to think. There are those who don’t know the story about Jesus Christ nor do they know why He came on the Earth.
IN 2008 IT WAS GREAT !
In 2008 the first Winter to Go was organised in Berlin with 100 Santa Claus singing Christmas carols, preaching the message and praying for the sick. Many people gave their lives to Jesus and were healed in the streets. The impact was national coverage on many medias in Germany !
GOALS FOR DECEMBER 2009
All PEFY countries would have at least one main city in their country taking part in the project with a minimum of 50 young believing Santa Claus
Also smaller youth groups can impact their cities with smaller groups
THE CONCEPT:
Preaching the Word in relevant way in places like subways, christmas markets etc.
Singing Christmas carols is easy
One to one personal contacts – everyone can participate !
Giving out Small gifts & booklets
No autorisations needed in general (however need to check locally)
No sound system needed
PRACTICAL STEPS :
GROUPS REGISTER here- Order the material & pay the order
- Prepare the event in their country / city.
- Check permissions if they are needed.
- Groups can inform local media about the event with the help of press pack.
CAMPAIGN BOOKLET WILL BE TRANSLATED into a new language after the registration of a new country.
NoLimit PROVIDES THE MATERIAL PACKAGES based on registration orders.
- The price of the package 20 € per person.
- In the package: 1 Santa Claus costume, 20 evangelistic Christmas booklets
GROUP LEADER will also receive photos and a press pack.
DATES:
- 27.11.-4.12. Week of prayer and fasting
- 5.-6.12. Winter2Go
PROGRAMME OF SATURDAY THE 5th
- Meeting starts at : 09:00 (German time)
- Worship, training, announcements
- 10:00 Video/TV connection between different participating countries, the official start
- 11:00 start at the places of evangelism
- 18:00 Testimonies from Europe per Skype/Video/TV
ON SUNDAY THE 6th, after Sunday services, Santa Claus groups go back to the streets again.
